How To Draw a Prasi
Drawing
a prasi requires a great deal of preseverance.
It must not be done n a hurry. Every
scratch and line must be engraved deliberately
in such a way to create an image.
No scratch is meaningless. A larger
size picture is transferred/copied on
to a prasi and no detail may be left
out. With perseverance, talent, patience
and accuracy a beautiful and harmonious
drawing can be created. Another factor
that must be take into consideration
in engraving a prasi is the depth
of the engraving on the lontar.

It
is not uncommon for drawings on lontar
be accompanied by texts underneath.
There are two kinds of texts, one directly
derived from Kekawin and the other which
is based on the artist's interpretation
of story.
